Since the medium and heavy trucks entered the national four emission era, most of the vehicles have basically adopted selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology to meet the emission standards. One of the remarkable features of SCR process is the consumption of urea solution. At present, the reduction of nitrogen oxides by urea solution for automobile is usually composed of 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water. Automotive urea solution AdBlue is used in Europe. It is called def (diesel exhaust fluid) in North America and automotive urea solution or "Automotive denitration agent" in China.

Due to the nature of urea solution, i.e. low temperature in winter, urea solution is prone to crystallinity or freezing. Once crystallized, it is easy to cause blockage of urea spraying device, thus causing failure of SCR post-treatment system and limiting vehicle power and torque output. Therefore, the automobile SCR system is usually equipped with a heating system, and the common heating methods are generally electric heating and coolant heating.

At present, the SCR post-treatment system heated by coolant is common. People may know that the urea tank is equipped with a water heating system. If the temperature of the urea tank is lower than a certain temperature and the coolant is higher than a certain temperature (such as 55 ℃), ECU opens the solenoid valve, and the hot coolant flows into the urea level and the temperature sensor on the heating pipe to heat the urea tank. Measure the urea temperature in the urea tank with a urea thermometer to control the start of urea heating and thawing and the length of heating time.

However, it should be noted that the urea injection device is also connected with two cooling water pipes. Urea spray device is a well-known urea nozzle. Its main body is a solenoid valve, which is controlled by DCU to realize spray; There are cooling water channels around, leading to the expansion water tank, which is mainly used to cool the solenoid valve; The upper end is the urea inlet. So kayou removed the urea spray device and actually cut off two cooling water pipes. The urea nozzle is generally lower than the expansion water tank, causing coolant loss.
