How to judge and handle abnormal noise from engine piston pins in TEREX mining truck accessories

How to judge and handle the abnormal noise of the engine piston pin in TEREX mining card accessories? Some engines may experience abnormal noise from the piston pin during use. If the abnormal noise of the piston pin is severe, the piston pin bushing will be damaged, and the wear of the connecting rod bearing shells and crankshaft connecting rod journals will increase. When wear is severe, the piston pin or top of the connecting rod will break, and the cylinder gas will be damaged.

Introduction to TEREX mining card accessories: The phenomenon of abnormal piston pin noise is as follows:

(1) There is abnormal noise in the upper part of the cylinder, which is like the "special" sound made by two steel balls colliding.

(2) After the engine temperature increases, the noise generally does not change much, and sometimes individual noises become more pronounced, which is the main difference in abnormal noise caused by piston knocking.

After generating abnormal noise from the plug pin, the following methods can be used to determine:

(1) Cylinder by cylinder fuel cut-off test. After cutting off the fuel, the sound significantly weakens or disappears, and it will be noticeable after the fuel supply is restored. When the fault reaches a certain level of severity, a continuous double sound will occur. After cutting off the fuel, the sound will not only weaken or disappear, but also worsen.

Engine shake throttle test. When the throttle quickly shakes, the abnormal noise is quite obvious, and the noise cycle varies with the change of engine speed.

The main reasons for abnormal piston pin noise are as follows:

(1) The piston pin and connecting rod bushing are excessively worn and the fit is severely loose. The main reason is poor lubrication. There is no oil hole on the engine connecting rod. The lubrication of the piston pin and bushing is achieved through the oil collection tank at the small end of the connecting rod, which is sprayed upwards through a lubricating oil nozzle. If the oil pressure is too low and the injection is poor, it will lead to poor lubrication of the piston pin and connecting rod bushing, and poor piston cooling will also increase the wear of the piston pin and connecting rod bushing. If the oil deteriorates and becomes thinner, wear will also increase. Therefore, we need to pay attention to the quality of the oil. Change the oil and oil filter according to the cycle.

(2) During the maintenance process of the connecting rod bushing, the size positioning is not accurate, the bushing does not fit well with the connecting rod, and abnormal noise from the piston pin may also occur. When repairing, it is necessary to install according to standards in order to press in the connecting rod bushing under pressure.

After the abnormal sound of the life plug pin occurs, different treatment measures can be taken based on its importance:

If the piston pin has an abnormal and low noise, it can continue to drive; But if there are maintenance conditions, replace them.

If the piston pin has a serious abnormal sound (the sound is very obvious when operating at high speed and normal temperature), it should be repaired and replaced immediately.

The replacement of piston pins and connecting rod bushings should be carried out strictly according to standards, and the clearance fit should be correct.
