First, the disassembly of steering gear

1. carefully clean steering machines and their related components, especially tubing.

2. steering system oil drain

1) support the front axle.

2) to open the tank cover, and put steering gear or steering machine to unscrew the bolt oil outlet loosen, short time idling engine (not more than 10 seconds), turn the steering wheel to the limit position at both ends of residual oil pump and release in the tank.

3) to the tank is added to the flushing pipeline of hydraulic oil and clean 2~3 liters, while turning the steering wheel at the limit position, the attachment of oil passage clean and oil discharged from the oil outlet (engine idling can be short, not more than 10 seconds).

4) tighten the oil release bolt of the steering gear or connect the oil outlet of the steering engine.

5) remove the filter element in the tank, clean and return it.

Note: when oil is released, the residual oil of the steering gear, oil pump, oil tank, oil pipe and power assisted cylinder shall be released, and the whole hydraulic system shall be thoroughly cleaned without any impurities.

3. make sure that the steering wheel is in a straight line state.

4. remove the steering oil pipe, close the oil pipe joint, prevent dirt from entering.

5. loosen the lock nut

6. remove the pendulous arm with special tools.

7. for adjustable steering column, turn the steering column to the maximum. With the right rope through the steering shaft cross the gap, hang the steering shaft.

8. loosen the connecting bolts between the steering shaft and the steering gear and separate them.

9. remove the fixed bolts of the steering gear and remove the steering gear.

10. old steering machine clean, not bump, packaging intact, storage. Fix the steering wheel in the straight position

Two. Installation of steering gear

The installation of the steering gear of the North Baotou running gear must confirm that the steering rod of the original car and the left and right limit bolts of the steering wheel do not move, and are in the original state. If the above condition changes, please contact the service department.

1., in order to avoid sundries into the steering line failure, before the connection of the tubing, please do not remove the steering engine inlet and outlet of the blockage, and should carefully clean the oil pipe connector.

2. the steering arm should be installed on the steering machine, and no oil or foreign matter is allowed on the spline of the vertical arm and the output shaft of the steering machine. The lines on the vertical arm must be aligned with the lines on the output shaft of the steering engine.

3. make the vertical arm fixed and lock the nut with the prescribed moment.

4. tighten the locknut according to the specified moment and punch (loosen the dent).

5. ensure that the vertical arm line is parallel to the end face of the input shaft of the steering machine (i. e. the initial position of the steering arm).

6. it is critical to ensure that the wheels on the steering shaft are in a straight line state.

7. connecting the straight tie rod and the steering vertical arm, without the manufacturer technical department confirmation, strictly forbid to adjust the length of the straight tie rod and the length of the steering limit bolt on the axle.

8. make sure that the center of the large gap of the steering wheel is pointing straight ahead (that is, to ensure that the steering wheel is in the right position on the straight line).

Connect the steering shaft to the steering gear. When connecting, it is necessary to align the slot of the expansion shaft with the input end of the steering machine and the reticle of the housing.

9. connect the steering oil pipe according to the tubing connection of the original vehicle.

Note: the steering arm and the steering arm are connected, in principle does not allow rotation, if the installation process is convenient for installation or other reasons must turn the arm down, you should ensure that the vertical arm relative to the initial position of the swing angle less than 20 degrees. After installation, the vertical arm must be transferred to the initial position.

Three. Adjust the left and right limit of the steering gear

The steering gear factory, so limit there is an initial position, the steering gear must be installed, so limit adjustment, such as installation, not adjusted, will cause the steering ring and reduce the number of understeer.

1. front lifting front axle.

2. turn the steering wheel to the left, pull the steering wheel forcibly until the left limit bolt of the wheel meets the front axle bulge and stay for 3 to 5 seconds, so that the left steering limit valve of the steering machine is automatically adjusted.

3. turn the steering wheel to the right and pull the steering wheel forcibly until the right limit bolt of the wheel touches the front axle and stays for 3 to 5 seconds, so that the steering right limit valve of the steering machine is automatically adjusted.

4. steering machine left and right limit is adjusted.

5. repeat the above process again, check and ensure the steering system does not interfere with other parts.

Four, steering system refueling and exhaust

1. clean steering system, especially the northern Baotou spare parts steering oil tank.

2. to the storage tank filling with the provisions of the Shaanxi Automobile steering oil (oil specifications see Appendix 1), slightly lower than the top surface of the oil tank.

3. front axle, start the engine idle operation, turn the oil into the steering system, at this time, the oil level will rapidly reduce, in order to prevent the system intake, turn the steering oil up.

4. make the engine run idle for 2-3 minutes.

5. turn the steering wheel several times at both ends, pay attention to observe the oil surface, and if necessary, add the steering oil to the upper and lower lines.

About 6. of the direction of the exhaust, until the bubble from the tank without the gas, the steering system refueling and exhaust completed.

7. check Baotou North fittings oil tank liquid level, confirm the liquid level meet the requirements.
